Mosaic Health is seeking a Dental Associate to support our school-based portable dental program and to assist on our mobile dental/medical unit in Elmira, NY. Duties to include, but not limited to: - Registering student patient information and saving all needed documents in the electronic health record (EHR) - Checking insurance eligibility and adding the information into the EHR - Scheduling patients in the EHR for hygienist and virtual dental exams - Assisting Hygienist as assigned in the school/ or on Mobile Unit - Sterilizing/disinfecting/lifting/transporting dental equipment - Maintenance of Dental Equipment - Coordinating maintenance of dental vans for portable school-based program Education/Experience: • High School Diploma or GED equivalent • Prior healthcare office experience Requirements: - Valid New York State Driver’s License - Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Finger Lakes Community Dentistry Program, caring for children since 1995, provides school-based dental services in Ontario, Wayne, Yates, Schuyler, Steuben, Livingston, Allegany, and Chemung Counties. The program focuses on dental prevention and education and provides quality, affordable, and accessible dental services for children who may otherwise go without dental care. Our brand new 39-foot fully equipped Dental/Medical van travels throughout Chemung County. This Mobile program is a collaborative effort between Mosaic Health and Corning Incorporated to close the community’s gap in dental care. We offer a competitive salary and generous paid time off.
